Wow! This is taking a longs time. Usually I can knock this out in a week or so. I am two weeks in or so, and I'm just skimming the surface.

We homeschool in many different ways but we lean the most toward the Charlotte Mason method of learning. We enjoy the depth of knowledge in learning thourgh living books and experiences. We love to be able to go on numerous filed trips each year with our homeschool friends and also take long walks often as a family. Nature is very much a part of our family. We do not try to fit our family to any one curriculum, instead we use any programs we find for our family as a guide through the subject. Unit Studies are one way we incorporate subjects within a theme. The kids usually pick the theme and then away we go. Hands-on activities are a favorite in our house. We are not workbook type people, we make things, create things and apply things directly immediately. For example, for JoJo this year we will be covering grammar and writing, but you won't see this on our subject list, because she will be learning it within her History and Science. We will teach her the new concepts of the lesson and she will complete it through her other subjects. Our Literature is also weaved throughout our subjects.
