Getting Ready for a New Academic Year!

Yes we are! We've been busy this month making homeschooling plans (and getting ready for VBS). We went to the HEAV Homeschool Convention in Richmond, VA. I went to some great sessions on homeschooling through the High School years. How to get ready for college and how to avoid college. There were so many vendors and I didn't get to meet them all. Got a few great finds in the Used Curriculum Sale too. BooksBloom was there with over 4000 out-of-print books. We love schooling with out-of-print books. We picked up some wonderful biographies! They are so interesting to read. They are written with passionate details on all different topics. All this gleaning through homeschooling ideas makes for lots of decision making about Foreign Language, Elective Studies, College, Science, etc. Not to mention all the things we need for my other 3 to use for school. How exciting! Over the next week or two I will share about our homeschooling choices for the new year.
